Dr. Peter Hansen is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon in Brisbane who specialises in all aspects of Vascular Surgery including Varicose Vein treatment. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons having undertaken extensive training both in Australia and the UK. He is a Visiting Specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he is the Supervisor of Clinical Training, preparing and training the next generation of Vascular Surgeons. Dr. Hansen is an examiner for the Vascular Fellowship examinations, the final hurdle prior to qualifying as a specialist surgeon.
Dr. Hansen’s main office is located on Wickham Terrace, Brisbane. For your convenience, he is also available for consultation in Wishart and regularly visits the bayside at Cleveland House – both allowing easy surburban access and parking.
Dr. Hansen has been visiting Hervey Bay regularly for over 10 years providing both clinic and Vascular surgical services at St. Stephen’s Hospital, Hervey Bay. He is able to offer in-office procedures such as VenaSeal Glue at his office in Hervey Bay.
As a Vascular Surgeon based in Brisbane, Dr. Hansen operates weekly at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, The Wesley Hospital and visits St. Stephen’s Hospital, in Hervey Bay regularly. Modern minimally-invasive techniques including VenaSeal Glue, Radiofrequency Ablation and Sclerotherapy, for the treatment of Varicose Veins, allows the option of out of hospital treatment at our office/surgery on Wickham Terrace or St Stephen’s, Hervey Bay, providing uninsured patients a good option for treatment, avoiding private hospital costs.
Dr. Hansen also specialises in the treatment of potentially limb-threatening Arterial Disease in addition to aneurysms and renal dialysis access surgery.
